A myomectomy is an approach that allows doctors to remove uterine fibroids. After this procedure, women will often have a normal functioning uterus and could turn pregnant in the near future. In some cases, treatment for fibroids also includes a hysterectomy (an approach to remove the uterus). Not like myomectomy, women who experience a hysterectomy will no longer become pregnant.
